Rushing Bride
Politics makes strange bedfellows, and the current situation is no different as the small County of Lorne and the Barony of Prufax face an impending invasion from the omnipresent orcs from the northwest. The two realms, long-time rivals, have arranged an alliance, to be cemented by the time-honored method of a marriage between the two houses.
From the perspective of Count Lorne's chief retainers, this escort mission has all of the grind of being a merchant guard, with the bonus of a potentially high-maintenance and often uncertain fellow traveler making life on the road go rather less smoothly than one would like.
Will the principal arrive in one piece? Is this a romantic marriage made in heaven, or the beginning of lethal political intrigue? Will the bride run off with one of the guards instead?
Till Death Do Us Part is another great solo adventure from David Pulver, escorting a small party across a treacherous route to deliver the promised future spouse to the altar in time for the wedding. It's a simple escort mission; surely nothing could go wrong.
Till Death Do Us Part is a programmed adventure played using the In the Labyrinth rules from The Fantasy Trip (TFT). You won’t need a GM ... but there are plenty of options to play with one if desired. Branching paragraphs direct you from encounter to encounter as you make choices. Three characters are provided: a knight, a mercenary soldier, and a ranger. All are 35 points, making them a bit tougher than the 32-points given to starting characters in the game.
This is the fourth solo adventure from David for Gaming Ballistic; he has written several others for Steve Jackson Games as well.
